250 On The Mississippi!

Come on out to Alton for three days of FREE events leading up to the Fourth Of July!

Wednesday, July 1st from 4-8 pm join Duke Bakery and the Alton community at Haskell Park to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary and Duke Bakery’s 75th Anniversary!  In honor of our 75th Anniversary, we will be presenting a 75 foot long cake to share with the community.  There will be donut eating contests for both kids and adults, live music, kids bike parade, kids crafts activities in the Lucy Haskell Playhouse and food trucks!  Duke Bakery will be debuting our new food trailer, Duke On The Go, as well!

Thursday, July 2nd from 4-7 pm join in the fun down at Rotary Park.  The shops along Broadway will be staying open late and there will be plenty of fun kids activities.  Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty stilt walkers will be out and about and live music, food trucks and Duke On The Go will be on the scene as well!

Friday, July 3rd from 5-10 pm Alton’s fireworks tradition continues!  Live music, stilt walkers and lawn games all lead up to an extra special fireworks display to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary!

All activities, aside from food truck purchases, are free to the community!  Bring your families out and enjoy the celebration!
